Nice bar area downstairs to hang out in. Good lockers operated by your key card. Beds had curtains, plug and a light.

Mattress was a little thin for my taste but perhaps the norm in Taiwan.

A title

Had the time of my life here. All the bunks are sectioned off with pull-down curtains, so you had tons of privacy. The downstairs hangout area is cool - two large couches, two tables, multiple seats, three games of darts, and even a mattress with beanbags you can nap on. The bathrooms are clean, they are very much on top of that. More than enough showers for everyone too. Location was good as well - close to Ximending and the Wanhua station and the Bangka Longshan station.

Lots of mosquitoes unfortunately. The hostel also seemed antisocial at first, though after a day or two people start to warm up to you and you make friends. Mattresses were thin too. Other than that, it was solid. I'll definitely come back.

Great location as it's near a metro station. With a card access to the common room and bedroom, the hostel offers each guest a locker in the room. We're required to take off the bedsheet and pillow case before check out which is reasonable.

I totally recommend it for short stances.

I've spent one night at Meeting mates hostel and it is totally recommended for short-stances. Staff are young and super nice people, we asked several questions and recommendations and were open to help and with good recommendations also. Showers and Bathroom (Separate facilities) were always SUPER clean and provided with everything that you need (Even flipflops for the shower) The Bar is also cool and you can always meet people while having a drink there. Cool place to stay a couple of nights

Beds are not as good as expected. Maybe is common in Asia this kind of thin beds but are not the best for me.

Centrally located, could be cleaner

The two girls in reception were incredibly friendly, they even gave me a discount for my towel. The hostel is centrally located in Ximending, next to Xinfu market, Guangzhou and Huazi night markets, and Longshan temple.

The pictures on booking can be deceiving. The property overall was a bit old and rusty. The beds felt dusty and the showers could have been cleaner. Cleanliness wasn’t terrible, but I had higher expectations give that the hostel is priced higher than other ones in Taipei.

Very Good

The rooms are big and have lockers to put your bags in. The common area downstairs is big and being renewed. They have a small kitchen.

The only thing I didn't like was people sleeping on the couch in the common area. I felt like some of the workers working on the renovation were using that area as their own lounge, burping, farting and snoring. Maybe I was unlucky with the people that I met during my stay there. The hostel itself is very clean and spacious.

it’s a cute hostel, I can dearly recommend. it of course always depends on what you are looking for but we liked it even tough we just spent one night there

Room No.:4. One bed. Bed No.: A402 ⦿ Spacious design. Quiet environment. ⦿ Halloween decorations do not add value. ⦿ Not difficult to find location, using Google map. 1. Free & easy. In terms of, easy self checkout. No deposit required. 2. Front-desk staff, Awei, is entertaining and extremely helpful. 3. An individual locker for user. 4. Pricing is reasonable for a dormitory bed per night. 5. Water dispenser available on the first floor. 6. Staff allowed me to check-in early. Which is a big plus point! 7. I like the idea of self-help removing bedsheet (床单), pillow case (枕头套) & blanket-sheet for laundry during checkout. 8. Indoor slippers are readily available. Photos submitted by me, worth a thousand words.

1. All entry required security tapping is good (eg. main entry, dormitory-room entry and personalised locker). However, assigned card tapping is needed for entry into basement which is a hassle. 2. I will suggest another water-dispenser machine to be placed in the basement. Easier for everyone to use cups and/or to make hot drinks. 3. Poor WiFi connectivity particularly in Room 4.

Great price, decent facilities, friendly staff, good stay overall

The staff is amazing, friendly, and speaks some English (especially when my Chinese was poor). The facilities are pretty clean, the space is a nice design, and the washing and drying machine were great. The proximity to Longshan Temple MRT station on the Blue Line made transportation fairly convenient, and it is only a 10min walk to Ximending. The MengXia nightmarket is small but good, and there are a ton of little places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as snacks and 7/11 very close!

The common area was quite warm and muggy and the beds and pillows were fairly flat and not very comfortable. My biggest complaint has nothing to do with the hostel itself however...some of the guests, especially the older ones, make quite a lot of noise at night, turn on the lights at 1, 2, 3, even 4 a.m. which wakes everyone up, and generally don't engage in conversation. I was surprised, though maybe the great pricing has something to do with it. I'm not sure anything can be done about it, but it's good to know that sleeping might be difficult, especially for light sleepers. There also seemed to be a mosquito problem...thankfully, it wasn't a big issue, just slightly inconvenient.

I had a nice stay overall if you are traveling solo. Just 4-5 minute walk to the Longshan Temple.

The staff were very nice and accommodating and the place is quiet.

Cellular signal inside the room was gone but not sure if it is because of the location but they have wifi.

Great location and nice lobby to chill in the basement. Bathroom and toilet are quite clean.

If someone is using the hair dryer, u can hear it from the female dorm. Not much space for a big luggage inside the room.

It's always great to explore a new area. :)

It's within walking distance to the food and shopping areas. The communal area in the basement is spacious and comfy.

The front desk is not 24 hours available, which should be clearly stated before we complete the booking. I was not able to borrow bathroom slippers and might have had problems checking in if I hadn't spotted an email notification for credit card payment info. Also, I have to swipe the card to lock my personal locker; the censor is not next to the locker and it takes some time for the "releasing" and "locking" to take effect. The last thing is that my room is in A1, which is right by the entrance to the room area. For those who get upset easily by noise, it probably requires a little bit of "padding" especially in the early morning. However, providing the low price of accommodation, all the above is tolerable.
